Street Stock Aftermarket and Stock Frame Changes Tech Bulletin: 4/18/2025 Recently there have been some questions/concerns regarding changes made to the stock and aftermarket frames approved for use in CRUSA Street Stock competition, and the legality of what changes can or cannot be made to those. After reviewing the approved and non-approved changes and speaking with series tech officials, we are releasing the following bulletin to clarify and clear up the concerns about what is or is not allowed, as well as a short “grace period” to have any car that has unapproved changes be corrected. • Aftermarket frames are allowed to make the following changes only: Johnson version 1 frames are allowed to make right side frame rail straight to match newer version Johnson and BRC frames. Right side replacement frame rail must be square or rectangular tubing. No round tubing. Bottom of the replacement tubing must be flush with the bottom of the existing frame so that the bottom of the entire right side is in the same location as the original chassis was. • Stock frames are allowed to make the following changes only: Stock frame may narrow right rear frame rail for tire clearance (inner portion of frame rail must remain in stock location). • The following applies to ALL Frames: All frames may add strengthening gussets to mounting points such as a-frame, trailing arms, etc. All cars, whether built using the stock frame or aftermarket option, the mounting and pickup points MUST REMAIN IN STOCK LOCATIONS according to the rules. Any deviation in the measurements of the pickup points will render the car illegal according to the rules and will be disqualified. The GCRG Street Stock division is one of the most competitive and exciting racing divisions competing under the CRUSA banner. While the series will shoulder some responsibility in the questions that have arisen, there are instances where manufacturers and teams are making unapproved changes, creating a competitive advantage and causing their cars to fall outside the rules and limitations allowed. We must make the changes and clarifications necessary and public so that everyone knows what is expected, and to remedy any confusion to keep car counts in place and competition on a level playing field. We are taking this very seriously and will be actively checking and assisting tracks in checking to verify that all cars are abiding by the same rules. These clarifications will be strictly enforced beginning May 1st and will be done so going forward. Shock Rule: 1. One shock per corner. Steel bodied, non-adjustable shocks only. Shocks must have solid shaft. No Schrader valve shocks. No piercing valves. Shock valving or gas pressure may not be adjustable at the racetrack. No air shocks. 2. Shock Claim: a. $300 per shock b. and fall into a single file formation. Absolutely no passing is permitted under the
yellow flag and no racing to the start/finish line will be permitted.
Red Flag - When a red flag is displayed, all cars must come to a complete stop as
soon as safely possible.
Black Flag - A car given this flag must pull into the infield immediately for
consultation. The car will not be scored from the point that the black flag is
displayed. If, after the car is inspected and deemed able to return to the race by
track officials, the car may return to the track. If a car is stopped and found to
be safe and/or not at fault, the car will retain the same position as it was
running (only if black flagged under yellow flag conditions).
Blue/Yellow Flag “Move-over” - A “Move Over” flag will be utilized. Hold your
line. The leaders are approaching. Do not race the other lapped cars or lead cars
at this time.
White Flag - One lap remains in the race. When the white flag is displayed, cars
will race back to the checkered flag. Only exception will be if the track is
blocked/unsafe, in which case a red flag will be thrown.

vii. Checkered Flag - The race is officially ended, and all cars must pass underneath
it to be scored on the last lap. A race is not completed until the checkered flag is
displayed.
5. Initial Starts:
a. b. c. d. e. The front two cars are to set a nice/even pace down the backstretch. Everyone is to stay
side by side and nose to tail. There are two cones on edge of infield, the first being
placed in the Middle of turns 3 & 4 and the other towards the exit of 4. This is known as
the “Acceleration Zone.” The pole sitter has the right to fire at any time while in this
zone. If the pole sitter does not fire by the second cone/wall marking, the flagman will
automatically start the race.
Brake checking on a start or restart will not be tolerated. If you change your pace
coming to the green flag on a start or restart and cause damage to another car, you will
be subject to disqualification from that race with no warning.
Any attempt by the pole sitter or outside pole sitter to start the race outside of/prior to
the “Acceleration Zone” will be considered a jump-start.
Any car(s) that pulls out of line and passes another car within the “Acceleration Zone”
will be considered a jump-start.
Any car involved in a jump-start will be penalized two positions/one row on the next
restart or at the finish, whichever comes first. THERE WILL BE NO WARNINGS ON JUMP-
STARTS. IF YOU ARE DEEMED TO HAVE JUMPED, YOU WILL BE MOVED BACK TWO (2)
f. g. h. 6. Restarts:
POSITIONS. We will not throw the yellow flag and immediately go to a restart in the
event of a jump-start. The offending car will be notified on the RaceCeiver, and the
penalty enforced either on the next restart or at the finish/payout.
Once the green flag drops, the race is officially underway. On the original start and
before one (1) complete lap is scored, if only one car is involved in a caution and stops
on the track, that car will restart from the tail. If more than one (1) car is involved in a
caution before one (1) lap is scored, all cars involved in the caution that came to a stop
will receive their original starting positions, provided there are no penalties to be
assessed. If penalties are assessed, penalized car(s) restarts from the rear.
Laps will count when the leader plus three (3) cars cross the finish line.
Race Director reserves the right to call for a complete restart at his/her discretion.
a. b. When the yellow comes out, drivers are to run single file at a slow pace. We will use
Delaware-style double-file restarts - defined as leader alone on front row with
remainder of the field double filed behind the leader. Once race officials have the lineup
correct, the leader will be motioned out front alone, then the second-place position will
get his/her choice of inside or outside row. Second place car must make decision clear.
Third place is to fall in opposite position. Fourth place will always be inside row and the
field should fall into place accordingly.
Anytime a race has three (3) or less laps remaining, or if track conditions do not allow,
the race will restart in a single file formation.

NOTE: Changes from previous version shown in red. a. b. c. Mitchell's Motorplex 2025 Track Rules
On restarts, the leader may fire anywhere within the aforementioned “Acceleration
Zone” and the race will be considered underway. Jump-start rules identified in sections
5.c. through 5.e. above will apply.
7. Cautions / Red Flags:
Drivers are allowed one (1) caution per race. A second charged caution will result in a
black flag and the driver will be scored accordingly.
The car(s) deemed at fault will be put to the rear or black-flagged pending the Race
Director’s judgment.
There will be NO racing back to the caution except on the final lap once the leader has
been shown the white flag. The field will then race back to the checkered flag. The
flagman will turn the yellow and green lights on to indicate to the field they are racing
back to the checkered flag.
In the event of an unsafe condition or a completely blocked track on the final lap, the
red flag/light will be displayed, and the field will be realigned as it was on the last
completed lap for a green, white, checkered finish.
Under red flag conditions, all race cars must come to a complete stop on the racetrack.
In the event of either a Caution or a Red Flag, after one (1) lap has been scored, any car
that goes into the infield / hot pit area / main pits will rejoin the field at the rear.
You may enter the infield at any entrance. YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER THE TRACK FROM
THE PITS DURING GREEN FLAG CONDITIONS. You must wait until the next caution to re-
d. e. f. g. h. i. j. k. l. m. n. enter the track and only when a track official directs you to do so. During “one to go”
caution conditions, cars must re-enter behind the field.
Field line up will revert to last completed and scored lap order after a red or yellow flag.
Lapped cars will be placed at the tail end of the lineup.
A competitor may continue with a flat tire (left front only) or broken suspension part,
unless an official feels they are putting themselves or others in a dangerous or
potentially dangerous position (door panels or bumpers falling off, broken a-frames,
etc.). For safety reasons, they must be able to keep up with the field.
During a yellow flag caution, a car may stop on the track for track officials to check car
damage. If minor help is needed, the track workers will render that help. No one from
the driver’s crew is allowed on the racetrack. If ANY team helper/ crew chief, etc. is
caught on the racing surface, the driver of the car is responsible and may be
disqualified.
Two (2) courtesy laps will be given in the feature race only for changing flat tires or
making repairs in the work area/hot pit. The courtesy laps will begin once the lineup is
set on the track. The car will rejoin the field at the tail.
All drivers are to remain in their cars while on the track, unless granted permission by
an official (over RaceCeiver or otherwise). If you exit your car without due cause, you
will be disqualified from that race.
During a red flag, NO ONE in the current race is allowed to work on the car (on or off the
track). Violators will not be allowed to continue.

NOTE: Changes from previous version shown in red. 8. Mitchell's Motorplex 2025 Track Rules
Race Director retains the right to disallow a competitor to continue if it is felt the
caution was intentional. This includes, but is not limited, to rough driving, sitting in the
corners, etc. Car(s) will retain their position for debris and safety yellows.
Post-Race Procedure for Exiting Racetrack:
a. After the checkered flag is thrown on ANY race, all cars must go the infield at the infield
entrance located at the exit of turn 4.
Cars that must go to tech will be called to the scales on the RaceCeiver.
Cars will line up on the infield exit road (facing the track exit in turn 3) and stop there.
Cars are not to leave this area until waved off across the racing surface by a track
official.
Any car not leaving the racetrack in this manner will be disqualified from that individual
race and receive no pay or points for that event. For example, if you violate this
procedure after a heat race, you will be disqualified from that heat and be forced to
start on the rear of the feature. If you violate this procedure following a feature race,
you will be disqualified from that feature race.
b. c. d. e. E. TECH / PROTEST PROCEDURES
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. You must report directly to the tech area after the completion of your race as you are instructed
to do so. The scales will be located in the infield. Top five (5) cars are typically required to
report to the scales/tech area after each race. Any changes in this number will be announced
either at the drivers meeting or over the RaceCeiver following conclusion of the race. Failure to
report to the tech area as instructed will result in disqualification for that event. Only the driver
and one other pit crew member or car owner are allowed in the tech area.
Mitchell's Motorplex scales are the official scales for the event unless otherwise specified at the
drivers meeting. All competing teams have the option to come to the infield and weigh/scale
their car at any time.
NO equipment will be considered approved by reason of having passed through previous or pre-
race inspection unobserved.
Track officials reserve the right to tech, spot check, or examine race cars at any time. Failure to
allow this will result in disqualification without refund of money.
Track officials reserve the right to accept or not accept protests at their discretion.
Technical protests will be made after the feature event only. Only a participant in the said race
may file a technical protest. All protests must be filed immediately after the event finish. Protest
must be filed in the infield and required cash for protest presented before car leaves and to goes
to pit area. Once the protesting car leaves perimeter of track, they are ineligible to file protest.
Protest must be made in writing with SPECIFIC protest issues described.

7. Failure or refusal to tear down will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of all prize
money, awards, and points for that event.
8. Only cars that finish on the lead lap and in the top 5 are allowed to protest. No spite protests.
Drivers may only protest cars that finish in FRONT of them. No reverse protests allowed.
9. Drivers are allowed one (1) attempted and/or executed technical protest per year.
10. Visual protest (for non-engine items) must be made in writing with SPECIFIC protest issues
described. Any visual protest is $50 cash on EACH item that is a visual protest. ONLY THE TECH
OFFICIAL, THE PERSON BEING PROTESTED, AND THE ONE MAKING THE PROTEST ARE ALLOWED
TO EXAMINE THE PROTESTED ITEM(S). All visual protest fees go to the racetrack.
11. For engine protests, each separate technical protest must be accompanied by a $500 cash
protest fee for the top of the engine (heads, carburetor, bore and stroke, etc.) and/or a $500
cash fee for the bottom of the engine (rods, crankshaft, etc.) $1200 cash protest fee for
complete tear down. All technical protests accompanied by $500.00 cash will be disbursed by
$400.00 going to the protest winner and $100 to the track. All technical protests accompanied
by $1200 cash will be disbursed by $1000 to the protest winner and $200 to the track. Track’s
portion of the protest fee will go to the speedway, regardless of the protest outcome. The only
individuals allowed to examine engine or parts protested are the driver being protested, the
driver protesting, and the Technical Inspector.
12. NO ITEM MAY BE EXAMINED OTHER THAN WHAT HAS BEEN SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFIED IN
WRITING AS BEING PROTESTED.
13. The Technical Inspector’s decision is final.
